therapy containing two active ingredients namely
calcipotriol and betamethasone dipropionate, and has become

should be used only on skin affected by plaque type
psoriasis, caused by over-activity of the skin's immune
cells. Daivobet or
technically written as Davobet Ointment (R) 50/500 is the
brand name for Calcipotriol which is related to Vitamin D
and Betamethasone Dipropionate which is the corticosteroid
both of which are the generic names of the drugs used in the
formula of this ointment especially made for the treatment
of Anti-psoriasis medicine.
Daivobet is the
anti-psoriasis medicinal ointment comprising of two basic
ingredients called Calcipotriol – related to Vitamin D and
Betamethasone Di-propionate – the Corticosteroid. Daviobet
Ointment acts excellent on the plaque type psoriasis
affected skin; plaques are raised, rough, redness areas
covered with fine, dry silvery scales. Plaques are normally
around 1 to 2 centimeters across. Psoriasis is considered to
be the skin disorder in which the skin cells are excessively
active that are treated by the ingredient Calcipotriol.
Betamethasone Di-propionate alleviates redness, swelling,
itching and irritation of the skin.
Daivobet
ointment does not specify any applying directions hence it
should be used as per doctor’s advice or as suggested on it
label claim and printed on its carton.
SIDE EFFECTS OF DAIVOBET
Most severe side effects: unusual tiredness or
weakness, worsening of psoriasis, constipation, depression,
increased thirst, nausea, vomiting, skin redness and
swelling.
Most common side effects: skin irritation, tingling,
burning, itching.
